Following their Connacht Schools League success last week, Sligo Grammar School senior rugby team was presented with a new set of team jerseys by Damien Tansey Solicitors, Castle St., Sligo.
Ciarán Tansey, a partner in the firm, is a past pupil of Sligo Grammar School and played rugby for the school. He is pictured here with his colleague, Michelle Quinn, presenting new team jerseys to our Senior Captain, Peter Oloyede and Vice-Captain Brendan Martin.
The senior team is looking forward to the Connacht Schools Cup which begins in January. There are ten teams in this year’s competition with Sligo Grammar School in in Pool Two. The other teams in our pool are Summerhill College, Coláiste Iognáid (Jes), Galway, St. Gerald’s, Castlebar and Roscommon CBS.
The first round of the Cup is due to be played the week of January 11th. Sligo Grammar School are at home to Summerhill College.
