On Thursday 19th May the class of 2022 celebrated their last day of class. In the morning the sixth years were treated to breakfast in the dining hall followed by the now traditional Students/Staff soccer match. This year victory went to the Staff! A game of rounders was also played and, again, the Staff team came out on top. The afternoon saw the obligatory fun-and-games around the school grounds before they went home to get ready for the evening. The class of 2022 said their final farewells to SGS at their Valedictory Service in Calry Church. The service was led by Canon Patrick Bamber and the Headmaster. The students also got an opportunity to address their parents, teachers, family and friends and reminisce about their six years at Sligo Grammar School. After the service everyone was invited to a supper in the Dining Hall, and from there the students went out for the night! The sixth years will now attend supervised Study Hall in the school until the exams begin. We wish them all the best in the exams and in their future careers. See photos HERE
