On Saturday 14th May a group of SGS students and staff dedicated their Saturday morning to a 5k fundraising run. The run (or walk) was organised by the Sligo Grammar School TY class as a fundraiser for North West Hospice. The students co-ordinated with Park Run, Sligo and organised a fundraising drive, getting sponsorship for the run and setting up an “i donate” page to make it easy for their friends and families to donate to this very worthy cause. The day was sunny and warm and the SGS contingent joined with many other people from Sligo in the run around Cleveragh. A lot of students, staff, parents , friends and past pupils came along and made the morning a very social – and active – event. Thanks to all the students and staff who got involved and especially to Mr Giblin and Ms. Reddy who organised the event. If you would like to donate just go to https://t.co/W4ALHY8kNb
