Na Hee Han from 6th Year was the outright winner in the NUIG Literary competition in the Short Story section of the competition. She wrote a very emotional and insightful story “The Journey” which can be read HERE. On Sunday 26th Feb. Na Hee went to Galway to receive her prizes. She was thrilled to be a prizewinner, especially as she is not an native English speaker. “If I can do it, then so can anyone!” she says and she would encourage students from younger years to go ahead and enter writing competitions of all kinds. Indeed, Na Hee says that all students should participate in every aspect of school life. “If there is one thing I regret, it’s not taking every opportunity to get involved in all the activities and competitions that were offered to us throughout our years in school” she says. Na Hee would like to thank her teacher Ms. Treacy for her help and encouragement. She is pictured here with the other prizewinners in the Opinion and Poetry categories.
