Conall O’Dwyer from TY is the latest student from Sligo Grammar School to be identified as a “high achiever in Science and maths” by the State Examinations Commission. Every year the SEC chooses talented students from around the country to compete in the Irish Junior Science Olympiad and in the Irish EU Science Olympiad. The selection is based on excellent results in the Junior Cert Science and Maths exams. The top six students to emerge from the All-Ireland Olympiads will go on to represent the country in the International competition in Bali, Indonesia, in December. The Irish team at the EU Competition will be selected from all medal winners. Sligo Grammar School has been lucky enough to have students selected to participate in the competition over the last number of years. We wish Conall all the best in the competition, and well done!
