On Wednesday 2nd March we were honoured to welcome Irish International and Olympic Athlete, Sonia O’Sullivan to Sligo Grammar School when she addressed the whole school at a special assembly. She is in Sligo to support the all-Ireland Schools and Universities Cross Country finals which will be held at Sligo Racecourse on Saturday 5th. On Friday 4th March Sligo Grammar School will host the Sligo 5K run. The run will be led by Sonia and will start and finish at Sligo Grammar School. The route will take runners around Sligo. It starts at 7.30pm and participants can register at SGS on the night between 6pm and 7pm. It promises to be an enjoyable event, and all are welcome to come along and take part.
