Welcome back to all our staff and students as we reach the end of our first week of the 2023/2024 academic year. We have some new faces on our staff, both Admin and teaching. Iolanda Oberholzer is a new addition on the Administration staff, taking over from Angie Doherty. The Maths Department sees past pupil Tadhag Power replacing Nathan O’Malley who is on career break. Another past pupil, Niall Canning is in the Business department replacing Jessica Gallagher who is on Maternity Leave. Rebecca Harney is taking HE and Irish classes while Graham O’Neill is our new Hockey coach and will also teach Sports and Recreation in TY. Our Leaving Cert year of 2023 did us all proud with an excellent set of results. They said a final goodbye to SGS at their Debs on 8th August in the Radisson Hotel, Sligo., and we wish them all the best as they move on to the next stage of their lives. Now that the first week is over, keep an eye out for our Extra-Curricular timetable which should be available soon. Good luck to everyone in SGS for 23/24 and have a great year!
